I just moved my site to lunarpages, but came across this rebuttal from Max at webhostingratings.com. I sent this question to Max yesterday, but realized I had sent it from an address that I am not recieving email at for what I suspect is a similar reason. So I'm re-asking here.
Max wrote...

"You must have been using AOL or the Road Runner internet service from Time Warner.

They suddenly cut off their service with our previous bandwidth provider.

Since then, we have switched bandwidth provider. We are now multihomed with several bandwidth carriers to ensure network stability."

My access is through Time Warner so this concerns me. Can anyone tell me more about this issue? Does it have to do with spammers using the same bandwidth provider?

Thanks!

I think that message must have been written a long time ago, I don't think is applies now.

We haven't changed bandwidth providers for a long time.

I have looked up your message, it was sent on December 23rd, 2002

We are currently multihomed with NTT/Verio, Genuity, Global Crossing, COX, Adelphia, AOL/TimeWarner, Japan Telecom and more.

Let me clarify a bit. Max wasn't replying to my message - I just came across it in researching a new host (you!) I'm not having an issue with my Lunarpages account. It seems that's been taken care of a while back. I'm unable to receive email from my domain that I'm moving TO Lunarpages from my former (not soon enough) host. I'm hoping to actually GET my email before transfer is complete, and would like some info. perhaps to resolve this through Time Warner, since my former hosts tech support has evaporated.

...just spoke to TW support and they indicated the site is not being blocked. The issue seems to be with the server. Now if only I could talk to someone there, or even log in to my controll panel...aahhh it'll all be over soon!

Thanks for the replies - nice to know someone is out there.

Sorry, I said "your message", but I meant "the message you are talking about"

I think the problems you are having with your e-mail are to do with your current webhost.

They will be fixed when you move to us Smile
