Hi. I've changed the files of my Wordpress site from one domain to another. Now I understand I need to change the name of the domain within one or more vital files to make sure the information points to the appropriate domain name. Does anyone know what files I need to change and where to look for them? Any help will be very appreciated!  Thanks.

Could you give us the domains in question, so we might be able to see what else might not be working in your domain name switch-a-roo?

Sure 'nuff.  The Wordpresss blog that was under 'GatesandCroft.com' is now hopefully in the root directory of 'Gardengates.info' and the old FrontPage files that used to be under 'Gardengates.info' are hopefully all gone. I next plan to mover my landscape company new site done under PageMason into the vacated 'croft' file so the name of the site (Gatesandcroft.com) matches the name of the company (Gates and Croft Horticultural Design). The Wordpress gardening blog will then be properly named under 'gardengates.info'. But first I have to get the Wordpress blog functioning!  Don't ask how the mess-up with incorrect domains came about. You do NOT want to know!!  Again, any help would really be appreciated.  Thanks so much.

Well, I'm at a loss. I reset all the domain corrections at:

http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL

http://www.lunarforums.com/web_management/how_to_manage_2...

And nothing made a difference. I'm afraid I messed something else up but, at this point I don't even know where to start. I can't even get into Wordpress at all to work on the site - 404 error.

If I try the gardengates.info site I get: vti_encoding:SR|utf8-nl vti_timelastmodified:TR|02 Sep 2009 18:04:51 -0000 vti_extenderversion:SR|5.0.2.4803 vti_cacheddtm:TX|06 Mar 2009 15:48:05 -0000 vti_filesize:IR|274 vti_backlinkinfo:VX|

Is there any hope of salvaging this?

Drop in a support ticket to the help desk, they might be able to do a little more about this from the inside of your account, and perhaps see an error we can't see here publicly.
