So i'm about to release my new layout next month actually yippi! Yeah so right now i have my old website up and running. And my New website is in a Password protected folder on the server so... Whats the best way to handle this? I have already thought up some options that may work...
1: I replace the Index file on my /public_html/ or whatever its called with the new, and just make every link on the site go where i want them to go. Namely into the folder where my new site is placed.
2: Replace everything in /public_html/
3: Make a redirect on the Index file? transfering visitors to the new index... Actually i have never done a redirect before so
Oh yeah i want your opinion on something else... How importent is it that you save previously uploaded content, such as images and older pages? I mean i have checked and from i can see my site is pretty much dead right now. Maybe you should save because of that awesome
