I've had nothing but a headache with my site every since I uploaded a new wordpress template for my sub-domain blog. Since then nothing shows that I have hosted here. No homepage, no forum and no blog. I finally just accepted that with my limited ability I can not sort it out and just gave up on trying to fix it all. Have a friend that know a little bit about uploading and he has had no luck straightening this mess out either. So then I decided to go ahead and make a nice blogspot and have support redirect that for my homepage. I put in a request to have a redirect done and now have nothing but problems with that as well. When I click on mypokerblues.com I end up at a google search bar page and not the blogspot ? I made the site http://mypokerblues.blogspot.com/ to be my home landing page. But when I go to http://mypokerblues.com/ it shows google. I want the blogspot to show up as the http://mypokerblues.com/ . It's been sixteen hours since support has replied to last ticket....should I just go ahead and try making a phone call to try and explain ? I was very happy with the service for the first year, but after renewing just last month, I now am having nothing but headaches. (or since last week) Earl

It looks to me like blogspot is redirecting back to the website. Did you put in a redirect at blogspot and forget to remove it when you decided to use it again?

Actually I put that there this morning to see if that was the problem. But from reading your reply Wektech I take it that I shouldn't, so I have removed it. Still goes to a google search page though ...

Well remember, after you make any sort of DNS changes - usually takes 24-48 hours before you are able to notice the change.

Ok Mitch. Looks like they have got it....but it's not doing what I want. Maybe I didn't make it clear to them. I want to point the domain ( www.mypokerblues.com) name to the blogspot (without a blogspot address showing, like I have done with http://www.carolinagambler.com/). This is the message I get from blogger. The DNS record for your domain is not set up correctly yet.

Well the changes aren't showing yet in a whois search to the nameservers, if they were made. Could you give me your ticket number, and might be able to see what is going on via the support side of things. Think the main problem might be that you are not allowing enough time to pass after the changes are made.

Alright, the "www" address isn't going to work - mypokerblues.com does redirect, but then it says your Blogspot blog is redirecting back to www.mypokerblues.com. Are you making any changes with Google BlogSpot that would cause it to redirect back to the domain name?

No bryantrv , I did not. I had thought the redirect would be all I would need, and was hoping to keep my google rank in the process. But I think you may have hit the nail on the head . Sounds like they need to do the following ? "There are four separate A records you will create, and can be done from the same control panel you accessed your CNAME records. Simply point your naked domain (example.com, without the 'www') to each of the following IP addresses:?
216.239.32.21 216.239.34.21 216.239.36.21 216.239.38.21
Mitch, yes I did. I set the publishing for a custom domain in the Advanced Settings . I had tried leaving it off, but then mypokerblues.com just shows up with the mypokerblues.blogspot.com addy in the address bar. Had went that way with four other domains I own and they all work like a charm. Those were all bought at google apps though. I've taken that off now, and still not what I'm wanting.

Yes, that's what they have done. Not what i want, pretty much just the opposite. Why would I pay a $107 a year to end up with a blogspot addy showing ? Looks like they need to change the CNAME records. Simply point naked domain (example.com, without the 'www') to each of the following IP addresses: 216.239.32.21 216.239.34.21 216.239.36.21 216.239.38.21 I'm just hoping with that I can still use sub-domains with the host if I can ever sort out why I lost the forum ? And btw, thanks for all the efforts of helping. Should I just open another ticket to get the C-name done ?

No, opening a second ticket would actually slow down the process - I would suggest hanging in there now, or calling in - cause you'll need to let them know you want the domain name to stay on the account, rather than just redirect there. Make sure you specify your language so that they don't mistake one task done for another, and tell them exactly what you need.
