I am searching for a current server side RSS feed abrogator that outputs a filtered and configured feed to placing on a web page.

One of my websites is a directory where I have included FILTERED feeds to bring in content and links to information relevant to the directory. I was using two programs, Gregarius ( http://gregarius.net ) to aggregate and filter my selected feeds which in turn out put a single feed. I then used RSS Content Builder ( http://rsscontentbuilder.com ) to format and post the resulting HTML feed to a dedicated page in the directory. It worked okay for a while but the process is clunky.

I have found zFeeder  ( http://zvonnews.sourceforge.net/zfeeder.php )  however it was abandoned years go which is a problem. The script still works quite well and I think something like it would still be quite useful to many webmasters.

Does anyone know of a similar but current script or have any suggestions?

I know this probably not what you are looking for, but their is a WordPress plugin called "FeedWordPress" that allows you to automatically populate a blog category with any RSS or Atom feed. You could quite easily rebuild a directory site using WordPress Razz

Thanks for the idea but you couldn't possibly recreate this directory with Wordpress. Besides, I am trying to completely avoid using plug-ins and on-line feed services - way too limited. Total control - filtering and configuration  is the goal here. I may have to go back to what I was originally doing. If you want a peek at the page ---> http://www.dieselmentor.com/newsfeeds.php

Well it took a while but I finally got it!  I tried all kinds of scripts and methods of using them and I kept coming back to SimplePie. I had to do a lot of reading (because I really don't understand PHP) and figure out how to use it. I also got some help with the code from a couple of sources and came up with a multi-feed page that also paginates. I added a little CSS for the pagination and wallah!
