Hi all,

This is my first post here after moving to Lunarpages. It's good to see an active community.

I'm looking for a CMS / online web page creation system that will allow me to have multiple users, each with their own pages, or "area". I suppose I'm thinking MySpace.com, but under my control.

The reason - I want to allow my children and their friends to have a little webspace without having full access to the domain. Hopefully, that puts it in a context that will allow someone to respond with a suitable system.

I've had exposure to Joomla, Drupal, osCommerce etc, so set-up is not an issue...I just need the most appropriate tool for the job.

Thanks in advance,
Steve V

With Joomla you can add the Community Builder extensions to provide users with their own pages.  It might be overkill for your needs, but it's the only extension I know of that will allow for user-controlled pages.

You might also look at various wikis. They permit someone to create their own pages. The drawback is that any registered user can normally modify any other user's pages, but some wikis may have sufficiently fine-grained permissions to stop that nonsense.
