On server crush.

I would like to set some of the php variables.  To do so, I have uploaded the file php.ini to my httpdocs directory.  However, when I view the output of the phpinfo() function, none of the settings have changed.

Are custom php.ini files supported?  If so, do I have the file in the correct location?  Is there another step to configuring my site to use the custom php.ini?

thanks,
Michael

Updates:
 - PHP version is 4.4.7
 - PHP is running as FastCGI

Resolved thanks to support.

Couple of things.  First PHP must be running as CGI.  Second, on IIS7 (which I was), CGI/FastCGI is declared in web.config and not with Plesk.

Hello,

The CGI mode in IIS7 serves well and with PHP4 it should serve the variables in it, do note that you wont be able to use custom php.ini with PHP5 currently its not supported on shared windows servers.
