Web Hosting Help and Troubleshooting / Re: Multiple sites are down!

Are they on the same server or (physically) different servers? Are you able to connect with any other non-LP site, showing it's not something with your local ISP? How long has it been down? There are tools you can use ("is it down" type sites) to check if a site is really down, or if there is a network problem.
The 500 Internal Server Error is a very general HTTP status code that means something has gone wrong on the website's server, but the server could not be more specific on what the exact problem is.

Are You the Webmaster? See Fixing 500 Internal Server Error Problems on Your Own Site towards the bottom of the page for some better advice if you're seeing the 500 Internal Server Error on one or more of your own pages.

Hosting Server Bulletins / ZOSMA: Emergency restore - April 13th 2018
« Last post by tarikk on April 13, 2018, 10:50:04 PM »
Dear Customer,

The ZOSMA server requires a restore as the server has hardware performance issue. We have already began the restoration of ZOSMA to a new server. Original ZOSMA is up and running, but a bit sluggish.

The restore to a new server is being done from the latest functional backup (April 13th, 2018) , using the Bare Metal restore technique. While we do not have any estimated time for completion for the restore process our best projection would be that the machine will finish the migration in 24-48 hours from now.

You can see the status for this migration at any time in CAP area by logging in with your username and password from our main site, then clicking the Network Status icon. If you have any questions, please email on this process.

Thank you for your patience and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

I'm guessing that you could always install vanilla WP from, and customize it with security plug-ins etc. that you feel are the best. I assume that LP isn't going to scan your site and take you down if you don't have their customized version. So long as it gets the job done, security-wise, I would think it OK.

As for using a now-obsolete version of reCAPTCHA, thank you for bringing it to LP's attention. Hopefully someone in LP support will read your post and act on it (I'm not on that side of the fence). Please let us know if you hear anything back. Perhaps you could list your recommended plug-ins and LP/Softaculous might implement them instead of the current reCAPTCHA.

I wonder if this protection is still necessary. More and more plugins are available with better protection.
My site is protected with Security & Malware scan by CleanTalk.

Having said this, the lunarpages recaptcha proteciton on at least my site needs to be updated (and prefereably be removed).
It shows a warning that V1 Shutdown on 2018-03-31.
You can now simply bypass the protection by clicking in the text field and enter.

Best regards,

Hosting Server Bulletins / OBERON Planned Move - 11th April 2018
« Last post by Jassi on April 11, 2018, 03:02:11 AM »
Dear Customer,

OBERON will begin a planned move to a new server on 11th April 2018. This move is required in order to upgrade the server’s operating system from CentOS 5, which has been phased out for support, to CentOS 7.x. The exact time and date for the switch to the new hardware will be announced through the 'Network Status' section of your account at least 24 hours in advance. You will experience no downtime during this process. We suggest you make no significant changes to your site after you receive the announcement.

We will also be updating MySQL 5.6, Apache 2.4 and PHP to the latest stable releases from their respective release trees. In addition to PHP 5.6, we will also provide PHP 7.x using the latest EasyApache installation from cPanel.

We have backups on hand for all databases in the event of any issues with the upgrade process. For more details on MySQL and specifically MySQL 5.6 series, please review the changelog at

Please note that you may check the current status for this server at any time in CAP via with your cPanel username and password, then by clicking the Network Status icon. Additionally, the move will result in completely giving up on FrontPage extensions, which are now deprecated and have been replaced with WebDAV.

Thank you for your patience and we apologize for any inconvenience in the interim. If you have any issues with your site, please contact
